Pathway from Club to Junior World Team Coach

7:00 - 8:30 PM Speaker: Pat Cody, Head Coach, Row NS Pat will be speaking to us about his recent journey from club coach to leading a provincial program creating national team members to then transitioning to a coach for Team Canada at the 2018 Junior World Rowing Championships. Pat spent two out of his four years at Brock University as captain of the rowing team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education in 1999, and continued his education and rowing career at the University of Western, where he earned a Bachelor of Education in 2000. Pat was awarded Oarsman of the Year from both schools. Following his studies and nation wide success, Pat was nominated to the Senior National Rowing Team in 2000 and remained a member for almost 3 years. He has competed at several major international events around the world including the Senior World Rowing Championships, the Commonwealth Rowing Championships, and The Henley Royal Regatta.
