CSCA athletes/groups you work with (if specific): gymnastics, sailing

When did you start practicing? 1991

Why did you become a physiotherapist?
Truly- in order to go to the Olympics! And to work with passionate, high performance athletes.

Please provide a few thoughts on working with high performance athletes:
High Performance athletes are driven and committed to their sport. They also drive their health practitioners to be at their best at all times. They are highly committed to their rehabilitation and injury prevention measures.

They are goal setters and leaders in their fields. This challenges us practitioners to set very specific goals during the rehabilitation and performance experience. We also need to allow these athletes to be engaged in the rehab decision process.

It is for these reasons that working with high performance athletes is a pleasure and a privilege.
