Intake Process

Athlete Registration Process

After being identified as an athlete who is eligible for Centre support (Gold, Silver, Bronze), the athlete must:

  • Register with the CSCA through an ‘Athlete Orientation Session’ with the Athlete Services Manager before they can access any of the services provided by the CSCA.
  • To make an appointment, please contact your Provincial Athlete Services Manager.

The Athlete Orientation Session:

The Athlete Orientation Session is an exchange of information between CSCA staff and the eligible athlete.

  • Athletes are given information about the programs and services available to them, while they provide information to the CSCA regarding their current and future plans in sport and out of sport.

This exchange of information enables CSCA staff to:

  • Facilitate rapid access of expert support to ensure the needs of the athlete will be attended to.
  • Assist the athletes’ holistic development, including physical, social and intellectual growth and harmony toward personal balanced excellence.

The Athlete Orientation Session is a requirement for all athletes who wish to access CSCA programs and services.
